What are they like to keep? I'm not sure I will get one, as I don't have much space...or money. I'm looking for information on care, but the caresheets don't usually say what they are like as pets, do they move around their cage a lot?

Some aren't very big like the pancake tortoise(malacohersus torneri) it only gets up to 6", but they are very hard to get a hold of due to the fact that they have a very low productive rate and they are protected through out most of their range. Or the russian tortoise(testudo horsfieldii) they get up to 8" these would be way easier to get a hold of I have seen them in almost every pet store that sells torts. And last, but no least is the spur-thigh tortoise(testudo ibera) it gets up to 7.5, but usually only 6". I would not recommend the spur-thigh tortoise because when imported they are often heavily parasitized which the pet store will probally not treat and you will have to take it to the vet for a hefty bill. Sorry for the long post.
