First is a black and white Mangrove. I have 3 Black and Yellow but they are a little stressed out. So no pics untill they settle in. This here is a Waglers Viper And then the pair of Vines..............(Asian Vines) These are all venomous snakes so they are not for the begginer.

The Waglers is something very very cool! This local of Waglers has not came into the country in a very long time. I was lucky enough to jump on one. lol I have a friend that got 4 of them 2 males and two females. He got the only males that came in. But his are already locking up so if every thing goes well next season I will have a baby male to grow up to breed

Well if you are not 18 years of age or older I can see why the said no. Has for your friend I am not sure why they said no.
Elipids are not the best to start out with either. They are fast and have one thing on their mind. SURVIVE......
MAngs are a great hot to start with though. Their Venom is like that of an Elipid though. Drop for drop they have some very nasty venom. But they lack the delivery system.
Asian Vines are another great first hot. But they are very hard to get to switch to pinkies.
But I would not recommend going into the Hot world cold and getting any cobra. Start slow build your way to what you want. And make sure oyu always do it legally

are hots aloud in canada? How much does it sting if you get bit by any off those snakes? Well, Sting would no tbe a word I would use lol............. The Vines and Mangs are not that bad. I have heard of Adult Mangs causing swelling and lots of pain. The Viper on the other hand is not something to mess with at all. It probably would not kill me but if I was bit on a finger I could lose that finger. IMO. You should be 18 years of age or older and have many years under your belt before you even think about owning a hot. There are reasons like. If you are under the age of 18 and are bit your parents can get into trouble............. As for being legal in canada. i am not sure you would have to check local laws. Here in Ohio I have no laws against owning venomous. IU do not have to carry any permits.

I would also like to add I have a 15 year old brother. And he will be working with the mangs under my supervision. He is interested in everything about herps. That is the best way to get into the hot side of things. find someone that already owns hots and has years under their belt and ask if they can mentor(sp) you
