I would say the last pic of your new one looks like a good future avatar. Your soo lucky! Amazing geckos, he really does have the most adorable little face. I'm assuming that he was in his dormant form/color when you went to the pet store, thats when their colors are duller. Great pics!

Thanx! I was hoping his colours would stay kinda light though, but never mind, I like the pattern he has going down his back! There was a gorgeous looking crestie with a greenish tinge, not sure if I wish I had got that one, but this one really is too cute, if not a bit thin!
The other crestie looked not that much liek he does now when I first got him, I can't wait to see what they look like when full grown!! ;D

Hey I felt the same way. Buckskins when active look kinda odd IMO. But I think he looks great, whos knows, as he grows he could get brighter and more light/colorful Well, I am betting that one with the greenish color at the pet store didnt look like this bad boy here: www.pangeareptile.com/pics.htmThe last ones shown are green fires. Wish I could get one, unfortunately they are ranging from $300-$5,000. And none look as good as that one. I just about picked up a chocolate harlequin at todays reptile show, they also has an orange fire. I just about gave in and melted! But I dint have the cages or anything ready *sigh*

Did you check the VERY bottom with the greenish ones that have the yellow harliequin patterns on them? The dalmations are the ones pictured ABOVE the green fires. Actually these would be classified as hypo dalmation due to the tremdous amount of spots. Man I want an Anthony Compenetto Crestie Sorry kinda random, different guy and if you know him you'll know he's got cresties that are literally on flames and blazing with color. sorry to change the subject, back to the old

WOW yeah, I wish we has shows over here! But then the house would be overrun with reptiles by now, nto like thats a bad thing! I'm kinda waiting to see if the cresties communicate, they are really near each other, so, I'm hoping!

You could wait awhile, mainly adults communicate for breeding or territory purposes. Sometimes just neiborhood talk like in gecko language "there something in your cage I want, give it to me!" They seem to say thing like that, I have raised several cresties, raised as in people have brought in for lizard sitting and maybe they are sick and need help. The adults liked spike. There was one particular female that wouldnt leave a spot on her cage that had a view of spike an d she wouldnt eat. At night I just heard this weird croaking/chirping noise back and forth. Little love birds Not sure if I mentioned this but your older one looks very pretty. I like the tummy accents with yellow. Both are Stunning though

Ahhh well I will wait until they are adults, only a few months I think, but I don't really know how old they are, Gizmo doesn't look like he will be growing a lot more though!

Could be between the 18-24 month old range if it doesnt seem to want to grow anymore. Do you know how long it is?
My Spike is about 19 month old and 10 inches. And he STILL isnt full grown yet! I can tell because he hasn't added any muscle fibers or added fat storages to his body quite yet. You can tell if you look at a pic of him then a 2 year old full grown one. The 2 year old will have more mass and appear larger in size due to its bulk
