what kinda set up do u have know. Ive kept tadpoles in different kinds of tanks too. The one i had most success with was a 7 gallon with a trickle filter. All of my tadpoles survivrd then. i noticed that too with one of my tadpoles that wasnt doing so well. He would just look likes hes dead and then he would come alive when i touched him. what kinda tadpols do you have. ive kept firebelly toad ones and bull frog ones. ANd a few other random ones.

A one gallon kinda small. But not for like 1-2. Makes sure that the waters clean at all time. Thats why i use a filter. Maybe it could be the tadpoles if your doing every thing right. Because some tadpoles dont do as well as others.

Filtering the water is very important when dealing with tadpoles. They are fragile at this stage.
I say go buy a 5 1/2 gallon tank and get a small filter for it a whisper is a good choice.
Place about 1 or 2 inches of gravel at the bottom of the tank. Get your live plants and anchor them useing the gravel. Also place a few rocks in the cage for hiding............
Clean water is very important though
